Twice-a-year CBSE board exams to be rolled out from 2025-26

CBSE Board states Starting academic year 2025- 2026, CBSE Students Will Have the Choice to Take the 10th and 12th Board Examinations Twice
In a statement, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said CBSE Students will be permitted to sit for the 10th and 12th grade board exams twice a year starting in the academic year 2025–2026. This would be done to guarantee that students have adequate time and opportunity to perform better. But most importantly will have the choice to retain onto the highest score.
The primary objective of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is to reduce the academic stress on students.
In addition to encouraging kids to participate in sports, art, and culture, the minister stressed the idea of instituting ten bag-free school days annually.
