Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Wednesday announced during the Zero Hour that the House would adopt paperless policy to save money from the next session. It would help bring down the cost incurred by the government to run Parliament, he added.
The MPs who would write to the House to adopt paperless system would be provided documents online, he said and added, others would get paper documents.
“This policy will be adopted when we will meet for the next session of Parliament after two or two-and-a-half months. Our aim is to save maximum money of Parliament,” Birla said.
It would be a message to the country through this House that every single penny should be spent for good use, he added.
