IVCA Alternate Capital Excellence Awards 2025 Celebrates Outstanding Achievements in Alternative Capital for 2024-2025


India’s apex industry body for alternative assets, the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), recognized top performers and key players from the alternative asset industry at the IVCA Alternate Capital Excellence Awards, held on the final day of the 14th edition of its flagship event, the IVCA Conclave.

The Awards Partner for the eighth edition of the IVCA Alternate Capital Excellence Awards was Praxis Global Alliance, while the Awards Sponsors included Alpha Grep Investment Management, Avendus, Blume Ventures, Cactus Venture Partners, Gaja Capital, IvyCap Ventures, and Trifecta Capital. The esteemed jury panel featured industry stalwarts such as Shri UK Sinha, Former SEBI Chairman; Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder, Info Edge India Ltd; Vivek Pandit, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company; Shri S Ramann, Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General (Central Revenue Audit) and CTO, CAG; and Cate Ambrose, CEO and Board Member, Global Private Capital Association (GPCA).

The winners of the IVCA Alternate Capital Excellence Awards 2025 are:

  1. Best Fundraise: Private Equity
    Kedaara Capital was awarded for demonstrating exemplary fundraising performance among domestic private equity firms in 2024-2025. The award highlights private equity investors generating strong limited partner (LP) interest and successfully increasing dry powder.
  2. Best Fundraise: International Venture Capital
    General Catalyst Partners emerged as the winner in this category.
  3. Domestic Venture Capital: Best Fundraising Performance of the Year
    IvyCap Ventures was recognized for the best fundraising performance in the domestic venture capital category for 2024-2025.
  4. Best Exit: International Private Equity
    Blackstone secured this award for exceptional performance in private equity exits.
  5. Best Exit: Domestic Private Equity
    ChrysCapital was recognized for managing the most exits in this category, including a spectacular exit amount.
  6. Best Exit: International Venture Capital
    Peak XV Partners won for securing the highest exit amount in this category.
  7. Domestic Venture Capital: Best Exit Performance of the Year
    Elevation Capital was awarded for their exceptional performance in exits within the domestic venture capital category.
  8. Infrastructure Fund: Best Overall Performance of the Year
    Brookfield was named the winner for its impressive investment track record and completion of several transactions across verticals in India’s infrastructure sector, including closing the largest pan-Asian infrastructure fund to date, with a strong focus on India.
  9. Best Performance: Real Estate Funds
    Blackstone was recognized for its outstanding volume and value of investments in the real estate sector.
  10. Private Credit Fund: Best Overall Performance of the Year
    EAAA Alternatives stood out with an impressive record of multiple investments and a remarkable investment amount, earning this category’s top honour.
  11. Venture Debt Fund: Best Overall Performance of the Year
    Stride Ventures secured the award for its notable volume and value of debt investments in 2024-2025.
  12. New Fund Entry: Best Overall Performance of the Year
    Just Climate was honoured as the best new investor entering the Indian ecosystem in 2024-2025.
  13. Beacon of Excellence Award
    This award was presented to Shri Prashanth Prakash, Partner, Accel, for his inspiring journey, contributions to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and his recognition with the prestigious Padma Shri.
  14. Certificate of Regulatory Excellence
    Siddarth Pai, Founding Partner, CFO, and ESG Officer at 3one4 Capital, was recognized for his contributions to strengthening regulatory practices and fostering a supportive environment for India’s private capital ecosystem.
  15. Consistent Social Impact Champion Award
    Chiratae Ventures won this award for its remarkable efforts in creating a positive social impact within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  16. Women First Award
    India Alternatives was awarded for its exceptional efforts in boosting women entrepreneurship within the private equity space.
  17. Consistent Climate Impact Champion Award
    Blacksoil won for its consistent efforts in backing companies that are driving positive environmental impact.

The IVCA Alternate Capital Excellence Awards 2025 celebrated excellence in alternative investments, recognizing firms and individuals who have made significant contributions to the ecosystem. Showcasing a diverse group of industry leaders, the event highlighted the resilience, innovation, and strategic vision that continue to shape India’s investment landscape, positioning the country as a global powerhouse in alternative capital.
