Jaipur : The chief minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, claimed on Sunday that the congressman Ahmed Patel was deceased and unable to respond to the accusations made by BJP officials.Ashok Gehlot criticised the Special Investigating Team of the Gujarat Police’s accusations made against the late congress leader, calling them a sign of political animosity.
He claimed that even before the most recent elections in Gujarat, BJP leaders had made accusations against Ahmed Patel, who is now deceased and unable to defend himself.
The Gujarat Police recently asserted that Teesta Setalvad, a civil rights activist, was a part of a “bigger conspiracy” to topple the state’s then-BJP administration at the direction of late Congress leader Ahmed Patel following the 2002 riots.
“False accusations are being made against Mr. Ahmed Patel today since he is not present to give his perspective, which is being done for political reasons. The BJP-vengeance RSS’s politics are evidence of their nature “Tweets from Gehlot. He also criticised the BJP for reportedly attempting to link a case to former vice president Hamid Ansari and Congresswoman Sonia Gandhi.
“By blaming Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, the BJP is displaying the height of political vengeance. The real face of the BJP is also shown when a figure like former vice president Shri Hamid Ansari is questioned over insignificant claims made by a Pakistani individual” said he.
Ansari denied the BJP’s last-week accusation that he had invited a Pakistani journalist to India who claimed to have spied for the Inter-Services Intelligence, calling it a “litany of deceit.”
