Former Karnataka MLA & cabinet minister Roshan Baig arrested by the CBI on Sunday, in the IMA Ponzi scam. With this, Baig becomes the first politician to be arrested in the Ponzi chit fund scam.
IMA co-founder Mohammed Mansoor Khan at the time of his arrest had alleged that Baig had cheated him of Rs 400 crore and forced him to gift expensive cars and jewellery. Mansoor Khan had released an audio message accusing Roshan Baig of taking ₹ 400 crore from him and not returning it.
However, Baig had denied those allegations.
Baig has been sent to 14-days judicial custody after being produced before a special court by the CBI.
