Kerala CM enraged when ABVP members Harassed Nuns and made them get off the train in Jhansi

Today democratic India witnessed yet another shameful incident when Nuns from Kerala were harassed, heckled, and de-boarded from a train by members belonging to ABVP, AkhilBharatiyaVidyarthiParishad, a students wing of RSS.

Some ABVP members travelling as co-passengers found two nuns and 2 girls seated together in a HaridwarpuriUtkal Express on March 19th. They immediately suspected that the nuns were taking the girls for religious conversion. They started harassing the nuns alleging that they were brain washing the girls to convert to Christianity and forced them to get off the train in order to prove their innocence.

The officials in Jhansi confirmed that they received a call from Railway police and a written complaint by ABVP about conversion. The officials after checking the girl’s Aadhar cards came to know that the girls were baptized Christians by birth and were undergoing training to become nuns.

Chief minister of KeralaPinnarayiVijayan, was furious when notified about this incident.  He immediately wrote to Home minister Amit Shah to take strong action against the ABVP members.
