Army porter injured on Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan shelling

An Army porter was injured on Friday in heavy firing exchanges between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, police said.

Surjeet Kumar was injured in Kalal area of Nowshera sector.

The firing began between the two armies after Pakistan resorted to “unprovoked ceasefire violation” using mortar shells and small arms to target Indian positions, a police officer said.
